This is the first two hills of Red Norland potatoes of the season. The plants were still green and growing but we got hungry for new potatoes. So sweet.
I planted my first tomato plant in northwest Illinois in 1947 and have been gardening ever since. My house is on a 2.3 acre lot and have 3 garden plots totaling 10,000 square feet. All vegetable. No flowers. No weeds.
Mine are still smaller than the golf ball. What a beautiful color ... red new potatoes ... can't wait!
