All the old stalks are cut down.
Then begin the compost process.
Next I spade out the stumps.
With a few shallow cultivations this will be weed free until next spring.

Wow, I am so impressed. How do we keep things weed free?
ReplyDeletemeemsnyc Every time it rains I cultivate the soil with a hoe and or rototiller as soon as it is dry enough to work. Make sure there are no foot prints in the soil when you are finished. You will never have a weed again.
