Planted my pop corn yesterday. Orville Redenbacher's. Just behind the garlic and before the potatoes, which are not up yet but will be shortly. Here is a better look at the garlic.
I planted my first tomato plant in northwest Illinois in 1947 and have been gardening ever since. My house is on a 2.3 acre lot and have 3 garden plots totaling 10,000 square feet. All vegetable. No flowers. No weeds.
OK, so I can plant my OR now too; I thought I would have to wait until the ground was warm like sweet corn.
ReplyDeleteYour garlic is looking great. I think mine is the biggest stalks every. They must like lots of wet!
gld... You can plant corn when the oak leaves are the size of squirrel ears!!!
ReplyDeleteWell they are now the size of a very large mouse's ear! I better get busy.
ReplyDeleteI was trying to remember just the other day what that saying about oak leaves was for.
We got more rain yesterday, but it was under 1/4 inch so shouldn't delay things much.
